Starting therapy can feel overwhelming. I aim to make it as easy as possible.
I provide a space to think together and provide a space for you. My role as the therapist is to work alongside you to process, explore and be curious with you about feelings or experiences that may be difficult to put into words.
I offer a free consultation of up to 15 minutes to consider how we might work together. This will be done over the phone at a mutually agreed time. Here we can discuss what is going on for you, your hopes for counselling, answer any questions about the process and most importantly, see if it feels like a good fit.
If during this consultation I feel your needs are outside of my skill set, I may suggest alternative therapists or organisations for support.
You can attend therapy in one of three ways:
Face to face - In a comfortable, and private therapy room, located in Ossett town centre, Wakefield. Please note the room is situated on the first floor and accessible only via stairs. The space is 5 minutes walk from Ossett Bus Station, with plenty of parking avaialble in the surrounding area.
Remotely - Telephone and online. I use the platform Zoom. This allows me to work with clients across the UK and ideal for people who are time limited.
Sessions cost £50 for 50 minutes. Details for payment available in the initial consultation.
Our first session will involve agreeing a contract, discussing further your hopes for counselling as well as number of sessions. We may agree to work together for an initial period of 6 weekly sessions and then review. It is important for you to know that you have the deciding say on whether or not to continue.
